To be admitted onto the STA Tutors Course the candidate must satisfy the following criteria:
A member of SSTA
2 Holder of Level 2 AST at least 2 years before the date of the Tutors Course (or produce evidence of having passed an equivalent examination approved by the STA)
3 Have evidence at having taught swimming at all levels
4 Have evidence at having taught swimming at all levels
5 Be in possession of the training manuals covering 1 to 3 above
6 Be in possession of the latest version of the Laws of Swimming.
